December 13, 2021 -- We are very proud and excited for PWSA | USA Board of Directors member Clint Hurdle as he makes a return to the Colorado Rockies baseball team and takes on the role of Assistant to the General Manager. Clint is a longtime supporter of PWSA | USA and has been an amazing advocate and spokesperson for the PWS community over the years, along with his wife Karla. Clint is no stranger to the MLB world. Throughout his 45-season career as the manager of both the Colorado Rockies and Pittsburgh Pirates, he has won a total of 1,269 games. The 1,269 wins rank 38th all-time in managerial history. Under his guidance with the Rockies, he led the team to its first-ever World Series appearance in 2007 as the club captured its first National League championship in franchise history.
Clint joined PWSA | USA’s Board of Directors in 2021 and has been an invaluable member of our PWSA family for years. He is the proud father of his three children Ashley, Christian, and Madison, who is living with PWS. In 2014, Clint and Karla hosted the first annual Hot Stove dinner in support of our organization, and in 2022, they will host the 8th Annual Hot Stove Dinner on March 26th! We have seen this amazing event grow over the years, so much so that in 2021, the Hot Stove Dinner raised more than $300,000 for PWSA | USA’s family support programs.
“I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this role for the Colorado Rockies than Clint Hurdle. He is extremely dedicated to the work he takes on and I know this will be an exciting new chapter for him and his family. We are truly grateful for the Hurdles' support and all the work they have done to spread awareness and raise funds for the PWS community,” said PWSA | USA CEO Paige Rivard.
From all of us at PWSA | USA, we wish Clint the best of luck in his new adventure. We know he will knock it out of the park!
