FDA Lifts Clinical Hold on ARD-101 for Hyperphagia in Prader-Willi Syndrome

On Thursday, October 22, 2026, Aardvark Therapeutics announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has lifted the clinical hold on its Investigational New Drug application for ARD-101, an oral, small-molecule investigational drug being studied for hyperphagia in PWS.

According to their press release announcement, Aardvark plans to resume clinical development of ARD-101 in patients with PWS following additional anticipated engagement and alignment with the FDA on the Phase 3 trial design. The company has also unblinded the data from the HERO and OLE trials to review the full set of efficacy and safety results.

In a message to families, Aardvark said it is grateful for the community’s partnership and ongoing support as it works to address the need for more treatment options that can reduce the constant, insatiable hunger faced by children and adults with PWS.

Aardvark will host a webcast on October 23 at 8:00 AM ET to discuss these updates and the data. The webcast is designed primarily for the investment community, but PWS families are invited to listen live or watch the replay. The live Q&A will be limited to equity research analysts. The webcast link and, afterward, the presentation deck will be on the Events page of Aardvark’s Investor Relations website: ir.aardvarktherapeutics.com/news-events/events.
