• A tip from a Mom: Driveway Patrol System (sells for about $20). It's a two piece system to detect when someone is coming up your driveway. Mount the sensor unit on the hallway wall (about 1-1/2 feet up from the floor) just outside the child's bedroom door and put the receiver unit on your nightstand by your bed. The receiver is battery operated, has two volume settings and can go anywhere. When the child leaves his/her room the alarm goes off and wakes you up!
