FOCUS AREA 3: CRISIS MANAGEMENT

GUIDING PRINCIPLES.

PWSA envisions a USA and a world in which each of the following is true:

Each medical, legal, police, family, school and residential placement crisis involving a person with PWS is met with a timely and appropriate response by someone (on a national, state or local level) who has the appropriate training to respond.

PWS families, medical providers, police, educators, residential care providers and others become sufficiently educated about PWS that potential crises involving persons with PWS are averted before they become crises.
