Camp Harmon is co-ed and staffed with a 3:1
camper-to-counselor ratio, and cabin groups typically consist of six campers and
three staff members. Staff includes a registered nurse, who is on site at all
times, and counselors 18 years and older who have had background checks and
thorough training. Staff is recruited from all over the world, and is made up of
people from varied backgrounds brought together by a desire to positively impact
the lives of individuals with special needs and their families. PWCF staff will
provide training to all staff prior to Camp. Camp Harmon is accredited by the
American Camp Association and will serve over 700 individuals with disabilities
this year.

Recreation Unlimited is pleased to offer an Annual Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS)
Summer Residential Camp for youth and adults (ages 8 and up) with PWS. PWS Camp
provides fun indoor and outdoor activities, and controlled meals and snacks
specifically designed for individuals with PWS. Activities include swimming,
fishing, canoeing, climbing, sports, archery, creekin', nature exploration, arts
and crafts, cooking, gardening, campfire, dancing and more! PWS Camp also
includes on-site nursing, excellent counselor to camper ratio, beautiful lodging
and environmental settings.
Recreation Unlimited is a not-for-profit
organization providing year round programs in sports, recreation and education
for individuals with disabilities and health concerns while building
self-confidence, self-esteem and promoting positive human relations, attitudes
and behaviors. The diverse 195-acre campus is fully accessible and centrally
located in Ohio, 35 minutes northeast of Columbus. Recreation Unlimited is an
ACA accredited camp and certified waiver provider by Department of Developmental
Disabilities.

Summer Camp is a series of five-day camp sessions for children and
adults with special needs who may not be eligible to attend other camps due to
the severity of their disability or medical condition. The sessions take place
at our Camp CAMP facility in Center Point, Texas. Each session begins Sunday
afternoon and ends on Friday afternoon. Camper’s sleep in a large, wheelchair
accessible, climate controlled cabins, along with counselors. Each camper is
assigned to a counselor with the camper/counselor ratio 1:1 to 4:1, depending on
the need of the camper. Camper’s medical needs are overseen by health care
volunteers – doctors, residents, nurses, occupational therapists, respiratory
therapists, pharmacists, pharmacy students, and medical students. We also
include activities for campers’ siblings without disabilities.

Each summer, Wisconsin Badger Camp hosts eight one-week sessions and one
two-week session specially tailored to meet the needs of each camper. The
sessions are separated according to age with eight weeks planned for adults, one
week for children (ages 3-13) and one week for young adults (ages14-25).
