PWSA(USA) is proud to announce:

Prader-Willi Syndrome: Coping with the Disease – Living with Those Involved

From Europe comes a brand new book especially for parents, which includes such areas as the main characteristics, genetic causes and diagnosis, topics like psychomotor development and intelligence, main forms of treatment and treatment strategies. Translated from the original German, the soft cover book encompasses 119 pages that are chockful of easy-to-read information, charts and pictures to help parents understand the syndrome and what can be done to help their child.

Its author, Urs Eiholzer, studied medicine at the University of Basle and then specialized in pediatrics at the University hospitals of Lausanne and Zurich as well at the Cantonal Hospital of Lucerne with additional training in pediatric endocrinology. At one time in his career he was a student of Prof. Andrea Prader. Since 1992 he has headed the 'Institute Growth Puberty Adolescence' and has a private practice in Zurich and Lausanne. His clinical research deals with growth related questions and with the Prader-Willi syndrome. He is author of numerous scientific publications and several books, some of which (like this one) contain valuable information for patients and their families.

The book may be ordered online or by calling the national office 1-800-926-4797. It will also be on sale at the national conference in Orlando. Cost is $24 US plus shipping.   Item # 136.
