Its author, Urs Eiholzer, studied medicine at the University of Basle and
then specialized in pediatrics at the University hospitals of Lausanne and
Zurich as well at the Cantonal Hospital of Lucerne with additional training in
pediatric endocrinology. At one time in his career he was a student of Prof.
Andrea Prader. Since 1992 he has headed the 'Institute Growth Puberty
Adolescence' and has a private practice in Zurich and Lausanne. His clinical
research deals with growth related questions and with the Prader-Willi syndrome.
He is author of numerous scientific publications and several books, some of
which (like this one) contain valuable information for patients and their
families.
