Surekha Pendyal, Med, RD from the PWS Clinic at UNC-Chapel Hill will be guest speaking at our meeting! She will be discussing about the PWS Clinic and nutrition management. There is a recreation center next door to the church where children can hang out. Childcare will be provided. Please call Becky Smith at (919)332-0621 or e-mail at bsmith@mattshome.com if you plan to attend so that we can plan out our space and childcare accordingly. We look forward to seeing you and starting off a new year!

Target audiences for the presentations will include professionals as well as families and caregivers. Though we are in the process of putting together a full agenda, we are pleased to announce that our slate of speakers already includes Dr. Merlin Butler, Janalee Heinemann, Dr. Moris Angulo, Janice Agarwal, and BJ Goff. There will be a celebration Friday evening at a special dinner event to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to The Prader-Willi Alliance of New York and furthering the cause of PWS overall. IPWSO is calling artists with Prader-Willi syndrome from all over the world to submit their work for display in the Virtual Art Gallery to be presented at the 7th International Conference held in Tapei, Taiwan, on May 21-23, 2010. The artwork can be a painting, drawing, sculpture or any other piece made by a person with Prader-Willi syndrome. Click here for a flyer.
