Youth and Infant Program (YIP)

This recreation program is for babies and children ages infant to five years old, who have Prader-Willi syndrome and their siblings. It is offered only during the General Conference sessions (July 3 and 4). For safety reasons, the program is limited to 50 participants.  No applicants will be accepted after June 20th. For that reason, we recommend that you register your YIP participant(s) as early as possible.

Each participant must be individually registered and accompanied to the conference by a Responsible Party, who will remain at the conference whenever YIP is in session.

Babies (infants – 23 months)
Parents must provide all food and formula for their baby.  Parents must provide appropriate food for their baby.  Parents must feed their baby if he/she has special feeding needs. If you want your baby to receive low calorie meals (breakfast, lunch and snacks), you must pay the additional $25 fee at the time of registration.

If your baby is a quiet baby with PWS, parents have the option of bringing the baby to the general sessions rather than participate in YIP.

Toddlers (ages 2-5)
During the conference’s daily program, toddlers will have a preschool environment program, with entertainers and games. They will be divided into two age groups for most of their activities. All children will receive low calorie meals on Thursday and Friday including:  breakfast (which parents pick up before YIP begins), AM and PM snacks and lunch on. Parents must provide all food for any child with any additional special dietary needs.  Ages 0 to 5 will accompany parents to Thursday night Gala event (additional $10 p/child fee payable at registration) . Please state if your child has any serious food allergies on the registration form.
