Handbook for Parents Revised 1999 Booklet Picture Handbook for Parents (Revised 1999)

This booklet is written primarily for very special parents of some very special people: the parents of children with Prader-Willi syndrome.

You are very special parents because you recognize that, along with the joys of raising your child, there are going to be problems. Now that you know that your child does in deed have Prader-Willi syndrome, you want help to better understand the nature of the syndrome and to cope with the problems it presents.  The fact that you are reading this is an indication that you have the concern and the desire to learn both of which are necessary to successfully raise your special child.

This booklet has been produced by other parents like yourself who have tried to think back over the problems we have had and to tell you how we handled them, or how, in looking back, we could have handled them better.
