We invite all people with PWS and their families and supporters to the chapter’s third annual PWSFest (formerly PWS Relay) for awareness, fundraising, and a day of fun activities, to be held Saturday, May 20, at Loyola Blakefield high school grounds. (Loyola Blakefield, 500 Chestnut Ave., Towson, MD. Driving Directions )

This year we're calling our big event the PWSFest to better reflect the nature of the day--a relaxing and fun festival with activities for all! As in the past years, children and adults with PWS will be assigned high school "buddies" to accompany them throughout the day's events, including relay races, carnival games, mini-golf, and more, giving parents and providers time to socialize and share experiences.

How Can You Be Involved in the May 20 PWSFest?

• If you have a child with PWS, please plan to attend the event and bring the whole family to enjoy the day’s activities and to meet with other families.
• Collect contributions for the event. Please ask your relatives, friends, and co-workers to support this fundraiser. 
• Donate a gift card or other prize—or ask a local company to donate one. These are for the prize drawings that are held throughout the PWSFest event. Prizes are a great motivator for the high school students who attend and raise funds for us, but families can win too! 

We hope to have a great turnout for this event and to raise much-needed funds for the PWS cause!

We invite all PWSA friends, family members, caregivers, and anyone you wish to include.  Please extend an invitation to all of those people in your lives that make it all possible. This is our opportunity to come together, be thankful, and enjoy each other's company.

Our picnic will be hosted once again by Roo, Susie, Peter, and Caroline Wood at their lovely home at 28122 Baileys Neck Road in Easton Maryland.

What to expect: Swimming, a buffet lunch, and loads of fun! Lunch will be served at approx. 12:00 noon. We'll provide grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, along with a variety of beverages. The pool and hot tub will be heated, ready and waiting, along with activities for all-- horseshoes, lawn games, pond activities, and our annual visit form the ice-cream truck (low-calorie treat only)!

What you can bring: Swim suits, towels, and extra lawn chairs would be great! In addition, each family is asked to bring a healthful/low-fat side dish (please coordinate this with Susie). If you have any suggestions for the picnic, fell free to let us know. Most of all, join us and enjoy. Come rain or shine!
