bring this important information before your group. You might prepare a plan and
begin talking to your local and state office holders.
If you live in a state that has no organized group and are
interested in working to contact your legislative officials, e-mail your contact
information to: pwsausa@pwsausa.org
A Brief Explanation of the Part B Determination:
The IDEA Part B, Sections 611 and 619 formula grant
programs assist states in providing a free appropriate public education in the
least restrictive environment for children with disabilities ages 3 through 21.
All states are to have in place a performance plan
evaluating the state’s implementation of Part B and describing how the state
will improve such implementation. This report is to be public and made available
through various media resources.
ONLY 9 STATES MEET THE
REQUIREMENTS OF PART B
A Brief Explanation of the Part C Determination:
Part C Determination is similar to Part B except that this
formula grant program assists states in providing early intervention services
for infants and toddlers (from birth through age 2) and their families. This
report is also available to the public and requires annual reporting.
ONLY 16 STATES MEET THE
REQUIREMENTS OF PART C
