As a reminder, there has been a fair amount of worst-case scenario publicity surrounding PWS, which is not the reality to many families affected by the syndrome. It is my goal with this interview that we will create a more positive, full and accurate image of PWS.  It would be a wonderful accomplishment to bring a sense of hope to those who may be struggling with this issue as opposed to a discouraging perspective that may never happen. I also hope to convey to all who are dealing with PWS that they are not alone.  I'm certain you will be able to make this happen and keep in tact our children’s dignity.

 

I know this coverage of PWS will create life-saving awareness and an interest in the community to help find a cure to this complex syndrome. Current estimations figure that up to 75% of individuals who have PWS do not know they have it. If we reach just one of those individuals and if we generate any funds, then we will have made a difference (tax deductible donations can be made to PWSA (USA)).
