Some Helpful Hints Courtesy of Mary Pringle
If approaching your local library or the like, ask them if you can have a
part or a whole bulletin board to decorate on Prader-Willi syndrome for the
month. If they are already spoken for reserve it for PWS Awareness Week (first
week in May). If you are planning on a Walk in your area for awareness, then you
would want the board the month before with sign up information.
Many ideas can be had from stopping in your local education store (where your
teachers shop). They have great ideas which can be combined with information
from the PWSA (USA) Web site and PHOTOS, PHOTOS, PHOTOS of your kids.
E-mail your local editor of the newspaper and send them a message and attach
the Web site. Make them think they are special and give them something personal
and "catching" to call you or someone willing to talk to the media. Be sure to
include a contact number.
