PWSA ORGANIZATIONS WIN – BECAUSE OF YOUR VOTES!!
APX Alarm has announced the winners of their 2010 APX
Gives Back Project, and two PWS organizations are
winners!!
Congratulations to Utah Prader-Willi Syndrome
Association who won the Grand Prize of $100,000 for
receiving the most votes nationally of any organization
in the competition.
Congratulations also go to the California
Prader-Willi Foundation who received the most votes for
their region for a prize of $30,000.
These funds will support local projects as well as
projects with national impact for families, including a
new online Steps of Care program and development of a
new educational DVD for residential providers. Funding
from APX Gives Back Project means these excellent
resources will be available to you sooner!
PWSA members in each region worked hard to get votes
not only for the organization in their own region, but
for organizations in other regions across the country as
well. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU for your commitment
and persistence in voting and voting often. In the end
these wins are wins for all of us – our children, our
families, our community!
