After Hours Medical Crises Support Now Available

Only For Medical Emergencies And To Report Deaths

Telephone: (800) 926-4797 or (941) 312-0400

Hours: EST Monday-Thursday 5PM to 8AM and weekends, Friday 5PM until Monday at 8AM. Also, on Holidays.

We now have an after hours support person available for when the PWSA (USA) office is closed. This person will be able to email or fax needed information to emergency rooms and hospitals. In extreme emergencies, she may be able to provide a physician-to-physician consult. This service is a pilot project that will be for medical emergencies and deaths only. Please call the PWSA (USA) office at 800-926-4797 or 941-312-0400 and the voice mail at the beginning of the message will prompt you to “Press 1” to reach our Medical Emergency After Hours Coordinator.

For calls outside the USA or Canada, after hours support will be limited to English speaking only callers.  Emergency physician consult will not be possible and you will be directed to the Medical Alert section of our website for articles typically needed in an emergency.

This important service is now available in part to Bill and Connie Devitt and their Irish American Community who did a fundraiser in memory of Connie’s sister Colleen. Colleen had PWS and died two years ago over the holidays from a bowel obstruction. Their hope is that her memory lives on through the support that will be provided for others.
